I’m trying new things with my art. I hope it shows… 
DeviantArt has been both helpful and challenging in that respect.
I’ve been lousy at posting lately… Life’s just busy. But I’m going to try to update more regularly, the only thing is, I’ll do it at livejournal. I’m still thinking about what to do about this journal, whether to keep it or not…

| And it is Max and Zentraedi Miriya again. This was an experiment in fabric shading and photoshop brush use. The original pencil sketch had a few problems to start with so it got ditched; anyway, I decided to pick it up again and rework it. It was my intention to do a background or frame using some art nouveau influences, but after seeing it, I realized it really didn’t work with the characters’ do. Yet there you have it. Chapter 16 of my long-time-not-updated story is ready along with its accompanying art *sighs* It took me some mighty months, I know. But better really late than never, I say. I *almost* hit that year mark, tho. Phew! 
I am working on the next chapter and hopefully a conclusion. During my break I had time to rethink a few things about said conclusion, however. Now I gotta figure out how to get things there… < -- And here's one evil eye |

G is not dead, just hibernating, difficult thing to do with this Global Warming thing… ;P Judging by the date of my last post I was ready to hit the cozy cave early and sleep my way through the harsh winter.
Seriously, life’s been crazy and full of surprises; all good things, happily. Good as they are, they are time consuming. No complaints, though.
Now, I want to get back into the mood to finish the story that I left dangling; maybe work on some art, RT related or not.
Anyway, life has to cooperate for that. Here’s hoping.

I barely made it to my own weekend deadline… phewwww. But it is up. It is on the short side, I fear; but that’s because I had to chop two scenes from it. The missing pair weren’t helping to give the chapter a nice closing point, so I had to bump them to chapter 16. On the bright side, I have two less scenes to write for the next installment… :p

And here’s the chapter’s illustration. I’ve been looking at some very cool galleries over at deviantart which have influenced my style a little bit. I am going for a more comic-book look for this one.
And yeah, our heroes are all garbed in Shadow Chronicles’ attire; Scott even has his new messy… er… updated hairdo. (It’s growing on me. Oh no!) |
Well, I was supposed to be working on an illustration for llw, 15… but I just can’t find the right idea. So, while my muse takes her unionized break, I’m on the remake.

The changes are subtle: just some sharpening of borders, facial expression and hair for most of them.
It’s virtually ready. I’m reworking a little bit of the closing scene… My muse has been working overtime lately. (I got her menaced with a whip!)
I’m planning on working on the chapter’s illustration during the week and post them both over the weekend. Although the tone of this chapter is still a battle one, things will change by the end of it. A part of the conflict will reach an end.
